SICKENER

I'm a regular on the Organise & Arise forum, used to be the Profane Existence board before for some reason it decided to change. Anyway, it's a good place to chat, get ideas and discover new bands - I came across this pretty tasty bunch of grinders from Lynott's haunt, Dublin called SICKENER.

Apart from the DIY ethic and the paint-stripping guitars the first thing that really caught my attention and set SICKENER apart from your run-of-the-mill grind band was the vocals, which sound more like something from the heart of the Norwegian mountains style black metal. It really gives the band a different edge and an almost atmospheric feeling that compliments perfectly.

SICKENER are soon releasing a limited cassette (kids, tapes are cool, get involved!) on Deathbiter Cassettes, a split 7" with Dutch band CSMD (Crowd Surfers Must Die) which will come out on No Fucking Labels and another split with fellow landsmen Wreck Of Hesperus.
