It was quite a snap decision that had been bubbling under for quite a while now. Sweden was my dream in 2003 and when I finally got there it was hard work but I would not give up! And I did not, I made it work as much as I could, I started bands and clubs and tried to make it mine but in the end I found myself alone, depressed and bored most of the time. I used to say that Sweden gave my chances that England did not but I must be honest.... I think it was all subjective.
So to come back here to my small town that I grew up in has really made a huge change in my life and hopefully for the better.
Got a part time job in 5 days of being back, a full time one within a month or so. Friends call me or message me almost daily asking if I want to do something, people are friendly, it's not over stimulating with things to do but it plods along just nicely. Everything is close, there are cities around if I want more.
Had help find a job, with debt, with everything. Casual racist etc is almost non existent in the circles I move in, things are cheaper.
So far - so good. Sweden, I miss my friends but not you so far.
